The HD tablet at 6.7 by 4.1 by 0.4 inches It a bit heavy 10.1 ounces. It comes in a variety of colors!! and has an angled back with just enough design to make it look nice!!  The matte plastic back is easy to clean!! it is Wi-Fi not the strongest I have ever used. But never the less it does work and will get the job done. It can be a bit glitzy at times :)  I noticed that while loading a Ebook. brightness and color looks good for this size of a tablet!! You can can jump on the web and check your emails. 
It has a rear facing camera as well as a back camera. That is a VGA front-facing camera and a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera. The main camera records 1080p Video!!  I don't take many pics with it. It not a real good camera. But for things like FaceTime it works great. I like that it has those features though. It looks great with video use etc... 
I really like plugging in my earbuds to the HD Fire. It has a Single internal speaker that is loud and crisp enough to hear what you need. I prefer to use my earbuds with it. 
The Amazon Fire HD 6 is probably the highest-quality tablet you will get for this low price. Amazon also includes parental controls and that is always a plus with kids!! Right?? Remember this tablet works with Wi-Fi!! So you must have Wi-Fi to be able to use the web etc. but all and all it is a great Ebook reading tablet for the price. It is a reader the doubles as a tablet! It is very easy peasy to use. It is easy to tuck away in a purse!! Bag!! Backpack!! Basically wherever your little heart desires to carry it around in... 
It seems to have a battery life of around 8 hours. Not bad :) 
I basically use my Fire 6 for reading  ebooks!! emails!! watching videos and playing Games!! I have found that it works great for all of thee above. Plus these are a must have for kids you can Create personal profiles! And link two accounts to share books, Games etc. you can set the device for your kids can using it as long as you want them do... 8 GB or 16 GB storage. Free unlimited cloud storage is s win win for all
