Especially the car, when you plug your iPod or iPhone into the car stereo! you will get that annoying humming noise coming out the speakers.. So by using this ground loop isolator, it suppose to eliminate that humming noise.. Now keep in mind in order for it to work right. You can't have lousy speakers,  Bottom line this will not work for you with lousy speakers. So as long as your speakers are good, It will work the way it was designed too.  You just plug it in to your car stereo... and play any of your music. It is Small and compact in size.
