Well, if you are one of the many who suffer from the allergies, stuff nose, dust, pet dander, mold, asthma, pollen, it helps with smoke as well, This year the air has been full of smoke, do to the cobb and middletown fires out of control.. When one fire goes out, another one starts up, we are in 5 year drought!! Praying for Rain this winter!! Smoke travel over here from these fires, yucky double yucky, because my family and I get so bad with the smoke smells and it is hard to breath right, So No windows or doors can be open, the smoke is so thick, This airgenius-3-air-cleanerodor-reducer has been short of a blessing, We can breath much better now inside the house!! The Honeywell I can say it has helped with the allergy my family gets, and asthma yay and the Smoke!! But the first thing you must know like any other new products you try, Is they are packaged very well, This one gave off a plastic smell when first turned on. We moved it down to the lower half of the house and ran it on high for a bit, After running it down in the lower half of my house, I have whats called a tri level home, Where the rooms are a step down area, After running it for a bit the smell went away, That's just for your info lol. The controls are 3 levels 1,2,3, Sleep, General, Max, I will say this is probably the quietest Air purifier I have every reviewed, Even at Max speed, I have had an Austin Purifier for years but it is so loud that when running, you cant be in the same room when entertaining guest or watching TV seriously, but the Honeywell Air Genius 3 you wont have that issue, I like also its easy to clean and that it swivels around, If you want it to!! There is a button for that, The Blue light is a pleasant light, for any room for the control buttons, very easy Peasy to use it doesn't take rocket science to work it :) also it is very nice to have the control panel that tells you when its time to clean filter, Yay!! that's freaking sweet, no more having to guess when its time to clean the filter!! not to mention it is an easy peasy simply wash the filter 4 times a year, I can handle that!! now you know why they call it the Air Genius
