Optical wireless mouse. It is very lightweight and sleek!! So making it easy peasy to use in your hand!! It works fast for a 2.4Ghz technology!! Very efficient to use anywhere. Inside the battery pack on the back of the mouse. Is a USB to plug into your device to get a signal to the mouse. You will need AAA batteries for this mouse to work. Batteries are not included!! As far as how long the batteries will last! Hard to say :) but I been using it for a bit now!! And so far works great!! It scrolls nicely! Right and left click work. So easy to travel with. Light weight you can tuck away in any bag or briefcase!! Not having wires is the best way to use a mouse in my opinion. This mouse is comfy in the hand. Work just like it was designed to do. No lacking just smooth. I am using a Mac Pro laptop with this mouse. I used it indoors and outdoors. And it worked fabulous both place.
