The elastic strap is extra wide and attaches with Velcro.  I think this was very well made and it was comfy to me, not to mention it will for sure keep your eyes well rested its lets no light in and the material it is made out of is non irritating at all to the area around your delicate eye area, The band that goes around the back of your head works nicely to stay put all night long!! I personally think its important to keep the eyes well rested at night in a dark room because keeping it dark gives you a much better sleep
